The event was supposed to take place on Monday, but President Arif Alvi declined to administer the oath to the MPs, forcing the administration to reschedule it for Tuesday (today).
President Arif Alvi was set to go on vacation on Tuesday due to sickness, according to a Dawn report quoting sources, so that Sanjrani could administer the oath. On health concerns, the president had already excused himself from administering the oath to Sharif, following which Sanjrani took over.
Some government supporters, on the other hand, were alleged to be "unsatisfied" with the administration's demands for the allocation of ministries and other lucrative jobs.
