Eid ul Fitr Holidays 2022 in Pakistan Official Notification

The Eid ul Fitr Holidays 2022 in Pakistan will take place from May 2 to 5, 2022. The Cabinet Division has released an official notification for the Eid ul Fitr Holidays in Pakistan year 2022.

The Pakistan Television Network (PTV) has announced the Eid ul Fitr Holidays, which would take place from May 2 to 5, 2022, via their official Twitter account.

Although this letter indicates that vacations will begin on May 3, it also states that these vacations are contingent on the sighting of the moon.

Because Ramadan begins on May 3rd, 2022, and Eid ul Fitr falls on May 3rd, it is expected that the government would publish an official statement stating that the Eid ul Fitr vacations in 2022 will begin on May 2nd and last until May 5th.

This year, the 1st of May falls on a Sunday, so the labour day holiday will fall on that day; the 2nd of May falls on a Monday, but it is the 30th Ramdan, so it will be a guaranteed holiday; the 3rd of May is Eid ul Fitr, so it will be a guaranteed holiday; and the 4th and 5th of May are Eid Second and Third days, respectively, so they will be holidays. Following these vacations, Friday, May 6, 2022 will be a working day.

All public and private schools will be closed from May 2 to 5, 2022 for Eid ul Fitr. Eid ul Fitr holidays will be observed at all public and private colleges and universities from May 2 to 5, 2022. All banks will be closed from May 2 to 5, 2022, for Eid ul Fitr holidays.
