DESCRIPTION:
Our client is looking for an experienced technical writer to support their marketing and technology initiatives in the cloud-based technology sector by providing content support for a number of deliverables (blogs, white papers, case histories, web content, etc.). This is a contract-to-hire role (100 percent remote, United States of America), which implies the client's primary goal is to hire the candidate "direct" after the initial contract period.
Our client is a rapidly expanding, national and worldwide company that specialises in securing Microsoft Azure applications, data, and workloads while maintaining compliance and regulatory standards such as HIPPA, HITRUST, ISO 27001, FedRAMP, and DoD IL 4/5. Their customers, who are cloud-based product providers, come from a variety of industries around the world, including healthcare, government, financial institutions, and commercial companies.
Our client, based in Sunnyvale, California, has locations in Pennsylvania and Maryland, but its structure is essentially "virtual," with the majority of workers working remotely. As a result, the client is open to hiring a technical writer who is not just the proper fit in terms of expertise and skill set, but also willing and capable of working efficiently from a home office 100 percent of the time.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum requirements include: 1) a bachelor's degree in technical communication, English, journalism, marketing communications, or equivalent studies; 2) a minimum of technical writing experience, with a minimum of experience in a cloud-based product environment; and 3) a minimum of technical writing experience, with a minimum of experience in a cloud-based product environment. 3) Demonstrated ability to write content for a variety of audiences and deliverables.
NICE-TO-HAVES:
A minor (or major) in computer science or similar technical studies; b) exposure/experience with writing on any cyber security, cloud-based apps, and/or compliance subject matter—such as ISO, HIPPA, HITRUST, etc. ; knowledge/experience with Microsoft Azure are all desirable skill sets.
