Punjab Police decides to change organizational structure

SP Security will be upgraded and SSP will be posted who will be responsible for the security of all law and order in the city while the security of VVIPs will also be included in the responsibilities of SSP Law and Order. Will be . Police personnel will be freed from law and order duties and will be placed on crime control.

According to the Lahore police, on a daily basis, the officers of the city police stations were deployed on law and order duties and the existing resources for controlling crime were dwindling. In view of this situation, Lahore Police has decided to change the administrative structure of Lahore Police. The name will be SP Law and Order.

With SSP Law & Order, under SSP Law & Order, three SPs including SP Security, SP Anti-Right and SPVVIP Security will work. One thousand personnel will be provided to SSP Law and Order and SSP Law and Order will be responsible for law and order including all meetings and processions held in the city.

According to the police officials, the personnel of the police stations will not be sent on any law and order duty for which the Lahore police will prepare proposals and send them to the IG's office after which the SSP will be appointed.
